- Grime Tempo is usually around 140 beats per minute
- Style of flow varies but it is most common for rappers or MC's to 'spit' double time or aggressively over the beat
- The trait of many Grime songs is to percieve the artist as if he/she is writing the music from their own point of view such as Stan by Eminem
- Most Grime videos invlove performance or a narrative based story

- The type of clothes worn in the videos usually are shown to be dressed in 'urban' clothing like what a typical East London young boy would wear as thats where it originated from. They have their hoods up and jewllery.
- The lyrics and music combine futuristic electronic elements and dark, guttural bass lines.
- Grime has an aggressive feel to the music making it sound fierce.
- Some Grime music videos use the estates or high rise block flats the artist grew up in as the location to the video to show where they came from.
- Some Grime music videos also include gangs of 'friends' behind them to show what its like when they where growing up and boys stayed in gangs.
- Mainly Grime music is based on either women and love or their life before they became 'famous'
- Some of the Grime music videos are set at night or have dark lighting to match the aggressive feel of the music, such as Kano P&Q's

Grime Genre Characteristics
Grime has been developing in East London's Underground since 2002. The origin of Grime is mainly begining to become popular through the use of UK pirate radio stations. Grime is a mix of varies other styles of music such as house, UK garage and hip hop. Dizzee Rascal and Wiley were among the first to take Grime mainstream other artist that are categorized under the genre of Grime are Skepta, Kano and Tinchy Stryder.
