Practice with Stop Motion

One of the ideas we have had for our music video is to change the levels of coloured water in glasses in time to the beat of the music, using a stop motion technique. We placed water in glasses, with different food colouring in each one, and then changed the levels of the water one at a time and filmed each level change for one second. We then edited the shots down and placed them in order so that the water levels looked as though they were moving up and down continuously. Now that we have  practiced filming and editing with this technique, we will be able to use it with other parts of our footage that we feel would benefit from this. An example of what we have edited is below:
